Recipient of the 2019 Barlow General Commission to write a new work for the Albany Symphony Orchestra.
Snapshots, written for the saxophone-bassoon duo Post-Haste Reed Duo, is now out on their new album, Donut Robot! The four movements tracks from Snapshots are also featured on I Care If You Listen. Also on the CD are works by composers Edward Hines, Drew Baker, Andrea L. Reinkemeyer, Michael Johanson, and Ruby Fulton. Congratulations to saxophonist Sean Fredenburg and bassoonist Javier Rodriguez for these incredible recordings!

We’re creating a symphony about Hawaiian birds! With original compositionsbylocal composersMichael Foumai, Daniel Houglum, Jon Magnussen, Thomas Osborne, Donald Womack, and myself, and local artists Jamie Allen, Laura Margulies, Laurie Sumiye, Pawel Nuckowski, Kayla Abalos, and Jeanine Higa, with consultation with conservation experts, the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra will perform for over 2000 local students on May 9, 2018 at Blaisdell Concert Hall, all of whom have been learning about the plight of these endangered birds this semester. Special thanks to my fellow coordinators on this project, professors Melissa Price (NREM) and Charlotte Frambaugh-Kritzer (College of Education), and the Strategic Investment Initiative.
Winner of the 2017-2018 OSSIA New Music International Call for Scores. OSSIA will perform Arrow of Time at Kilbourn Hall at the Eastman School of Music on April 12, 2018.
Selected for the Ensemble Échappé Call for Score. Ensemble Échappé will perform Arrow of Time for their 2018-2019 season.
